Dental implant costs, insurance & payment options

At Fenton Dental, they aim to bring dental health services to everyone in the Sunshine Coast region. They offer a number of ways for patients to pay, as well as passing on any applicable payment assistance or rebate schemes.

The Mooloolaba clinic welcomes:

  • Private paying patients with or without private health insurance
  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) patients
  • Workcover patients

The costs for their services can also be claimed against private health insurance on the day through their HICAPS terminal. All insurance companies are accepted.

Fenton Dental also supports specialised payment assistance plans, including:

  • Medicare
  • The Public Trustee
  • Bupa – Members First Platinum Network
  • HCF – More For Teeth
  • Australian Government – Department of Veterans’ Affairs

If patients are unsure of their eligibility for any of these programs, please refer to the information below, or contact Fenton Dental’s knowledgeable staff.

Dental Insurance & Schemes

BUPA Members

Fenton Dental is a supported practice of the BUPA First Network. For members of this program, it allows them to provide 60-100% off the cost of all applicable dental services. Please note there is a maximum yearly limit for this discount and it is dependent on the level of coverage. They recommend confirming this with BUPA beforehand.

The Better Value BUPA scheme will also pay up to twice as much towards any dental treatment from Fenton Dental, compared with other non-members practices.

We are now part of the Bupa Members First Platinum Network; this means our patients who have both extra and hospital cover receive two completely gap-free check ups per year.

Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA)

Fenton Dental fully supports and accepts Veterans’ Affairs Gold cards. If a patient has a DVA Gold Card, they are able to provide almost all services at little to no out-of-pocket expense. Please refer to the DVA website for funding information.

Public Trustee

A public trustee may be appointed to manage spending for a patient who is not mentally capable of making their own financial decisions. In these cases, Fenton Dental will submit a treatment plan to the trustee for approval. Once it has been approved, it is paid by them directly after completion of the dental treatment.
